Little Rock favorite Capers Restaurant recently earned an Achievement of Excellence Award at the 2014 American Culinary Federation National Convention in Kansas City, Missouri.
The award is chosen from nominations of industry leaders from local federation chapters, members and other food service professionals. Qualifying restaurants must also have been open for five consecutive years.
“We could not be more excited to be nationally recognized by the ACF with an Achievement of Excellence Award,” said Capers’ Mary Beth Ringgold, according to a statement released by the restaurant. “There are so many great home-grown restaurants in Arkansas that are really raising the bar on creativity and focusing on locally grown products. We certainly appreciate being recognized by our peers for our commitment to our industry.”
Capers’ owners also scored a hat trick with the Wine Spectator magazine. In addition to Capers, they own the Copper Grill downtown and Cajun’s Wharf, three of only 10 Arkansas restaurants to ever be acknowledged by the publication.
Make sure you stop by Capers and congratulate them, and don’t forget to check out their weekly deals during Restaurant Month.
