Cammack Village 5K Hits the Streets This Labor Day

Raise your hand if you’ve ever gotten a speeding ticket in Cammack Village. This year, on Labor Day, all bets are off on speed at the annual Cammack Village 5K.

Now in its fourth year, this event is open to serious runners, families and Fido alike with two separate courses. There’s the certified 5K course with a timed finish and awards for top finishers. Then there’s the family and pup fun run (walkers welcome) that consists of a one-mile loop around the neighborhood.

Registration includes a T-shirt and free neighborhood pool entry for when you need to cool down afterward. Early packet pickup will be at Go! Running on Aug. 30 from 2-6 p.m., or you can pick yours up the day of the race.

The 5K starts at 8:00 a.m. at Cammack Village City Hall, and the fun run starts at 9:30 a.m. Parking will be available in the Jefferson Elementary School parking lot.
