C-SPAN Bus Making a Stop in Little Rock to Spotlight ‘First Ladies’ Series Tuesday

Get a look at the first ladies of the United States Tuesday (Jan. 21) when the C-SPAN Bus, an interactive, multi-media learning center, will make a stop in Little Rock to spot its series “First Ladies: Influence and Image.”

Visitors can board the bus to learn about first ladies, other C-SPAN programs and the three branches of government using interactive technology, such as touch screens, laptops and mobile devices. The public will be able to examine first-hand the production equipment the network uses to chronicle American political news and meet C-SPAN and Comcast cable representatives.

The bus will be parked on the north side of Third Street in downtown Little Rock  from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. near River Market Avenue outside of the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas’ offices, which are located on the first floor of the Arkansas Capital Corporation Group Building, 200 River Market Ave., Little Rock.

“First Ladies: Influence and Image” is a collaboration between C-SPAN and the White House Historical Association. The series features the women who serve the role as the first lady over 44 administrations, examining their private lives and the public roles they played while in the White House. This is the first of its kind produced just for TV.

Admission to the series is free.
