Brown Sugar Bakeshop to Close Brick-and-Mortar, Launch Food Truck

Brace yourselves, sweet tooth fanatics. 

Brown Sugar Bakeshop recently announced it’s closing its brick and mortar location at 419 East 3rd Street in downtown Little Rock. Thursday, Dec. 24, will be the last day the doors of the “specialty dessert parlor” will be open to the public, which opened back in March of 2009.

But don’t shed your sugary tears just yet. 

Although the walk-in shop will close, the team is finally launching the Brown Sugar dessert truck in January 2016. They’ve been raising funds for the mobile sweet shop for months now, and the moment has finally arrived to get it rolling. Along with mobility will come a heightened focus on delivery options, and you can still place orders for pickup.

Brown Sugar made the announcement via social media on Monday morning, Nov. 23:
