Bid Farewell to Cycling Season With Dia de ‘Lost’ Muertos

There’s finally a chill in the air here at the end of October, and the days of summer leisure are behind us. Your bike rides through the park are going to look a little differently for the next few months, and Lost Forty Brewing proposes we bid them a fond and somewhat creepy farewell.

Enter stage left: Dia de “Lost” Muertos.

This free “pints and procession ride” is all in the name of fun (and skeletons). Riders of all experience levels will start out at Lost Forty and cruise through downtown in Day of the Dead-inspired garb. After that, they’ll dig into Taqueria Karina tacos, Mexican brunch items from the taproom and dessert from Loblolly Creamery.

There’s even a lowrider bike styling competition, cash prizes for best costumes and lots of swag. Riders can also participate in a 2015 Electra Townie bike raffle hosted by Chainwheel and a trike toss, both benefitting Recycle Bikes for Kids of Arkansas, as do beer sales.

The skeletons ride at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1. For full details, visit the Facebook event page.
