This summer, Baptist Health will host several BHealthy Farmers Markets throughout central Arkansas, encouraging Arkansans to eat healthier by providing a convenient and fun place to purchase fresh produce.
Beyond healthy, fresh produce, the farmers markets will offer shoppers cooking demonstrations, tips, contests and giveaways. During each week of the BHealthy Farmers Market, volunteers assemble Give Fresh bags full of fresh produce that are distributed to families in high-need neighborhoods.
Before you head out, here’s what to buy at farmers markets in June.
Here’s where you can find the market this summer:
- The Promenade at Chenal — Friday, June 14, 4-7 p.m.; Friday, July 12, 4-7 p.m.
- Baptist Health-Little Rock — Tuesdays from June 18-Aug. 6, 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the ground floor of the parking deck
- Baptist Health-Conway — Wednesdays from June 19-Aug. 7, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. behind the hospital
- Baptist Health-North Little Rock — Thursdays from June 20-Aug. 8 (no market July 4), 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. near the Rehabilitation Institute and Women’s Center entrance on the west side of the hospital
