Ryan J. Caststeel

Business, Commercial & Financial Law

Ryan Caststeel never thought of becoming a lawyer while growing up in Mountain Home. Instead, he wanted to earn an MBA and pursue a career in the corporate world. That career path changed when his college business law professor suggested he attend law school because he thought Caststeel would be an excellent attorney. Caststeel followed his professor’s advice and graduated from UA Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law with high honors in 2007. But not wanting to pass on his initial goal, Caststeel earned his MBA after law school in 2008 and was awarded the University of Central Arkansas College of Business Outstanding MBA Student.

Caststeel’s clients include financial institutions, businesses, nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurs in both litigation and transactional matters in a wide array of areas including commercial lending and finance, creditor rights, corporate governance, regulatory, compliance, real estate, employment, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and contract preparation, negotiation and review.

“My objective is to find ways to transform my clients’ challenges into opportunities and those opportunities into accomplishments,” he says.

Given his education, experience and expertise, Caststeel is uniquely equipped to provide his clients with guidance and advice using both business and legal perspectives to achieve their objectives.

This is Caststeel’s fifth consecutive appearance in Soirée’s list of Little Rock’s Best Lawyers. Caststeel’s dedication to solving his clients’ challenges has also been recognized by Super Lawyers, being named a rising star by that publication between 2012 and 2022.

When not working, Caststeel spends his time with his wife Allison and their daughter Rylann, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and their beloved UCA Bears football team. Also, he is an adjunct instructor for UCA and has taught the MBA business law course for the college of business since 2013.
