Beethoven and Blue Jeans Concert Begins with Beer and Brats

Grab your favorite blue jeans and join the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra (ASO) for its annual Beethoven and Blue Jeans concert where casual fashion meets popular classical music at 8 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 9) and 3 p.m. Sunday (Nov.10) at the Robinson Center Music Hall, Markham and Broadway, Little Rock.

Come early for the 3rd annual Beer & Brats Street Party where concert ticket holders can enjoy free brats, $2 Diamond Bear beer and music by the Episcopal School Steel Drum Band on the steps of the Robinson.

The ASO’s most popular Masterworks concert features works by Strauss, Gulda and the great master, Beethoven. This year, Beethoven and Blue Jeans presents a thoroughly Viennese affair with sounds of court, nature, and even the city’s downtown clubs. Opening the performance is Johann Strauss’s Overture to Die Fledermaus. Critically acclaimed cellist Inbal Segev is featured performing Gulda’s rollicking Concerto for Cello and Wine and Orchestra before Beethoven’s incredible Symphony No.4, written between Eroica and the legendary 5th Symphony.

Tickets range from $14-$53 and can be purchased by clicking here or calling (501) 666-1761.
