This month marks Soirée’s 8th anniversary, and what an anniversary it is! We just received the latest numbers from an independent audit company, Scarborough Research, informing us Soirée is the most read magazine in central Arkansas. Thank you for your contribution to this special anniversary present. It’s the best!
There’s more. Soirée recently received high honors for our design of the magazine from the Arkansas Advertising Federation’s Addy Awards program. Our mantra has been to produce the highest quality publication possible. The Addys confirm it. We don’t want to produce the highest quality publication possible in Little Rock. We want to produce the highest quality publication anywhere.
Without your support, readers and advertisers, we couldn’t do anything.
We’ve looked back over all the issues from the beginning, in 2002. Remember when we published two Soirées monthly for the first 18 months? How did we accomplish that?
And how about the early years of party people with red faces and flower arrangements and light fixtures coming out of their heads — again, thank you for hanging in there with us.
Do you remember when we listed all the names of everyone pictured in Soirée — and we printed how many times they had been pictured within 12 months? We did it more than once. Some people may have questioned our sanity, but we wanted to be different from other publications. Many of your suggestions were implemented. Without your input where would we be?
Soirée is more than paper and ink. It records the efforts of philanthropists, captures people having fun and children growing up. It gives you information you need, articles from Arkansas’ best writers, and the most memorable photographs.
You are still our inspiration for Soirée. Thanks to all of you, our friends.
Happy Spring,
Becki Moore
