‘Beauty and the Beast’ Opens at The Studio Theatre

It’s a tale as old as time, but it’s getting new life at this Little Rock community theater.

Disney’s Tony Award-winning musical “Beauty and the Beast” opens at The Studio Theatre this week under director Mark Burbank with music direction by Jeannie Cross and choreography by Stacy Hawking.

From the classic French fairy tale by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont to the 1991 iconic animated film, this story follows the plight of a callous prince under the punishment of a monstrous magic spell and a young woman yearning for more than this provincial life.

“Beauty and the Beast” opens on Thursday, Dec. 1 and will run at the community theater on weekends through Dec. 18. Evening performances take place at 7:30 p.m. with Sunday matinees beginning at 2:30 p.m. Click here to purchase your tickets.

And because you’ll be hungry, this restaurant offers specials for theatergoers.

The Studio Theatre is located at 320 W. 7th St. Learn more about them on their website, and give them a follow on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
