Who cares if the stars are bright deep in the heart of Texas when the stars come to hang out in Hot Springs?
The 25th annual Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival just announced this year’s honorary co-chairs: veteran actors Louis Gossett Jr. and Beau Bridges. The two have experience in the documentary world. Bridges narrated multiple Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winning documentaries, while Gossett is featured in “Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise,” the first full-length documentary about the famous Arkansas poet and civil rights activist.
Bridges and Gossett will attend opening night festivities on Oct. 7 alongside various film industry personalities like Tempest Storm, Billy Hayes, Todd Fisher and Mike Edmonds. Other celebs will make their appearance throughout the week, including Barry Bostwick hosting the fest-closing screening of “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”
The HSDFF is a 10-day event slated for Oct. 7-16 filled with film screenings and events taking place all over Hot Springs with its home base at the Arlington Resort Hotel and Spa.
