BBBSCA’s Big Event Returns

Did someone say “fashion show?” We thought so.

Last year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas launched its Big Role Models program wherein high school students in their junior year get to mentor younger children. Now in its sophomore attempt, The Big Event also returns as BBBSCA’s fresh, fashion-forward party.

On Thursday, May 5, The Big Event will provide guests with a night of hors d’oeuvres and specialty cocktails as they watch the season’s latest and greatest fashions make their way down the runway at the Metroplex Event Center.

Arkansas-based designers are getting in on the fun, including Audrey Funk and Linda Rowe Thomas, as are various local boutiques, such as E. Leigh’s, Maddox, Emerge and Culture Clothing.

Lauren Clark and Christopher Crane will co-host The Big Event as it celebrates the Big Role Models Program the people who make it happen. There will also be live entertainment by ArkansasAcro, a group performing acroyoga moves and stretches that will bend your mind.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. For tickets and more information, visit the BBBSCA website.
