Hold on to your lime wedges.
Back for another year of spirits, strainers and style, the Preservation Libations Master Mix-Off is once again taking Little Rock’s cocktail game to the next level. Now in its second year, this event from the Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas pits six local bartenders against one another.
In the first round, competitors will mix their favorite Prohibition-era drinks for the crowds to enjoy, where they’ll be bucking for the “People’s Choice” award. Things get even more interesting when competitors are asked to create a modern version of the drink for a panel of judges in the second round, hoping for the title of “Best in Business.”
Meet your contenders:
- Summer Blake of Boulevard Bistro & Bar
- Dillon Garcia of The Pizzeria at Terry’s Finer Foods
- Merrick Fagan of Trio’s
- Sarah Harrington of South on Main
- Rob Armstrong of The Fold/Raduno
- Alejandro Fierro of Cache
The Master Mix-Off will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 22, at the Albert Pike Memorial Temple at 712 Scott Street, Little Rock. General admission tickets are $50, but if you opt for VIP, you get an exclusive tour of the Masonic Temple, a commemorative glass and early entry to hang with the bartenders and judges.
