The Bard is back, everyone. And it looks like he brought the puns with him.
Never ones to turn down a turn of phrase, the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre’s annual Bard Ball fundraiser had us at the title: The Taming of the Brew.
Fear not. This event isn’t all “hithers,” “thithers” and “yons.” Guests will enjoy drinks, eats and live and silent auction, as well as a preview of the theatre’s upcoming season, including entertainment from AST music director Mark Binns and the cast of “Fiddler on the Roof.”
As the name suggests, the Bard Ball will feature some of the best brews in central Arkansas. Stone’s Throw, Diamond Bear, Vino’s and 107 Liquor are all on the tasting menu, so come thirsty.
The Bard Ball 2015: The Taming of the Brew will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at The Venue( 1069 Markham St.) in Conway.
Tickets include admission, food and beer tastings, and are available here. You can also get “bottomless cups” for an encouraged $20 donation at the event.
