The fall season is in full swing but the farmers market season isn’t over quite yet. You can still score fresh, local produce thanks to three pop-up events from Baptist Health’s BHealthy Farmers Markets.
Throughout October, the pop-up markets will promote healthy eating habits with a variety of events like cooking demonstrations, tips, contests and giveaways.
Here’s where you can catch the pop-ups this month:
- Oct. 22, from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Baptist Health-Little Rock
- Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Baptist Health-North Little Rock (near the Rehab & Women’s Center Entrance, or west side of the hospital)
- Oct. 25, from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Promenade at Chenal
Through the BHealthy Farmers Market, Baptist is able to sponsor the Give Fresh program, which provides bags of fresh produce to families in high-need neighborhoods while supporting Arkansas farmers by only purchasing local produce. Since the program began in 2016, more than 5,000 bags have been given to Arkansans, which translates to 142,000 pounds of produce.
