The state’s only ballet company is gearing up for a very special spring gala to honor a major contributor to the arts– Chelsea Clinton.
She will attend Ballet Arkansas’s Turning Pointe Spring Gala on April 26 to receive the organization’s “Above the Barre” honor for her contributions to the performing arts.
Clinton, who serves on the board of the School of American Ballet in New York City, began her dance training in Arkansas where as a young girl, she performed with Ballet Arkansas and appeared in several of its productions of The Nutcracker.
This year’s gala will be held at Supermarine of Little Rock, 2201 Bond St. In addition to remarks from Clinton, the program will include cocktails, dinner, a silent and live auction, and a one-night-only performance by Ballet Arkansas.
Tickets to the event can be purchased online here.
