Ballet Arkansas’ ‘Bold New Moves’ Series Comes to Argenta

Dance enthusiasts are in for an artistic treat this September as Ballet Arkansas presents “Bold New Moves,” a series of free public performances at Argenta Plaza.

Set to take place Sept. 13-15, the event will be Ballet Arkansas’ first time to take the stage this season and will feature debut works by next-gen choreographers. With three performances of world premieres from the company artists of Ballet Arkansas, unique musical compositions and an insightful Q&A, the showcase will be a highlight of this season’s cultural calendar.

“The program exemplifies our commitment to fostering new artistic voices and features a meaningful and diverse selection of compositions and engaging interactions with our audience,” says Michael Fothergill, executive and artistic director of Ballet Arkansas. “We are thrilled to invite the community to experience these world premieres and to join us in celebrating the vibrancy of the Argenta Arts District.”

Coinciding with the Argenta Dogtown Throwdown, a weekend of outdoor dining and entertainment along Main Street, attendees can easily transition between the two events while soaking in Argenta’s lively atmosphere and enjoying the best of North Little Rock’s cultural offerings.

All three “Bold New Moves” performances are free and open to the public. Showtimes are at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
