ASO’s Pops Live! Series Continues with ‘Here to Stay: A Gershwin Experience’

The next up in the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra’s Acxiom Pops Live! Series might sound familiar with “Here to Stay: A Gershwin Experience.”

The music of George and Ira Gershwin is some of the most widely recognized and iconic music of the past century. Under the direction of Philip Mann, enjoy hits like “I Got Rhythm,” “Someone to Watch Over Me” and “Rhapsody in Blue.”

This show also include rare glimpses into the Gershwin brothers’ lives with family photos, videos and other visuals. Performers include soprano Sylvia McNair, pianist Jeffrey Biegel, vocalist and pianist David Snyder and vocalist and tap dancer (yes!) Danny Gardner.

Audiences have two chances to see “Here to Stay: A Gershwin Experience,” either at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 14, or 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at the Pulaski Academy Connor Performing Arts Center, 12701 Hinson Rd.
