Buckle up, wookies.
Any time the original Star Wars trilogy returns to the big screen is a treat, but the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra is taking things to the next level to kick off its 2023-2024 Pops Live Series at the Robinson Center this fall.
On Oct. 21-22, the ASO will celebrate the 46th anniversary of “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope” with special screenings of the film as the symphony performs the iconic score in time with the movie.
John Williams — whose work you know from the likes of “Jurassic Park,” “Indiana Jones,” “E.T.” and “Harry Potter” — is the mastermind behind this score that is known the world over, even by those who have never seen the films.
Performances are slated for Saturday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 22, at 3 p.m. Tickets are projected to sell out and will go on sale to the general public later this summer, but are available now for season subscribers.
For more information, visit the ASO website, and follow along on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
