ASO Goes Virtual for Opus 36 Musical Spectacular With Special Guest Kris Allen

As virtual events have become the norm, organizers have worked to find ways to make their events stand out. That won’t be an issue for the Opus Ball.

The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra’s annual gala is pulling out all the entertainment stops with the virtual Opus 36 Musical Spectacular on Saturday, Nov. 7.

In place of a night of grand ballroom mingling, attendees will enjoy streamed performances by the ASO, the youth orchestra, national guest artists and “American Idol” winner and Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra alumnus Kris Allen.

Guests can take part in virtual breakout rooms to chat with their “tablemates” as they enjoy the show, and will also receive a bundle of fine wines, cocktail mixes and delicious food pairings. Local sommelier Jonathan Looney of O’Looney’s Wine & Liquor will join in to walk you through the pairings, and mixologist Elisa Belknep will help you add a new cocktail to your arsenal.

Opus plays a huge role in funding the ASO’s music education programs for kids, not to mention employing musicians and offering world-class programming for the community. In fact, Opus traditionally brings in approximately 10% of the ASO’s annual budgeted revenue.

Tickets to the Opus 36 Musical Spectacular are available now. Visit the ASO website to get yours, and follow along on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates.
