Arvest Bank’s Annual 1 Million Meals Campaign Begins Wednesday

For the fifth year in a row, Arvest Bank is gearing up for the 1 Million Meals initiative to fight hunger in the 120+ communities the bank serves, and this time, it’s joining forces with the Arkansas Rice Depot.

On Sept. 2, Arvest will kick off two months of fundraising and nonperishable food drives, concluding on Oct. 31, just before the holiday season. Customers, communities and bank associates are all invited to join in on providing at least one million meals to the Arkansas Rice Depot, which will then be distributed to 59 local organizations working to feed hungry Arkansans.

“We are excited to be kicking off our fifth annual 1 Million Meals campaign. Our associates look forward to joining the Arkansas Rice Depot, our customers and the community in an effort to impact hunger at a local level,” chairman and CEO of Arvest John Womack said.

The deadline is Oct. 31, so you have plenty of time to make plenty of donations. A one-dollar donation equals five meals. Help out by dropping off nonperishable food items or making monetary donations at any of the Arvest branches in central Arkansas or by calling (866) 952-9523.
