“Anticipating Grief” by Meikel Church, mixed media, 18×24.
ABOUT THIS PIECE
“The piece is an observation about grief. I lost my mother this past May and the grief I have felt has at times been overwhelming. The grief has also been unexpectedly excessive. The person in the piece is so small compared to the volume, depth and shifting emotions that are present.”
