ARTIST BIO
Matt Coburn is an established expressive/impressionistic oil painter. His dramatic style of broad strokes combined with use of light and color creates a strong sense of visual pleasure. Coburn is mostly self-taught with some instruction from German artist Guido Frick, Russellville artist Bill Garrison and Alexander artist Sandy Hubler.
“I believe I had some good instruction in the beginning,” Coburn said, adding that he studied the work of other artists he admires.
Coburn is also the curator/manager of Art on the Square in Bentonville with a group of more than 20 artists featured.
