Taking a downtown stroll is one of the best ways to spend your time in this gorgeous southern spring weather. Why not do it for a good cause?
Cue ARORA. The Arkansas Regional Organ Recovery Agency is celebrating National Donate Life Month with the Function at the Clinton Junction Bridge Party and Fun Walk from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m on Thursday, April 30.
As you might have guessed, this fun walk will happen at the Junction Bridge at 1200 President Clinton Avenue. Grand marshaled by KATV Daybreak anchor Alyson Courtney anchor, walkers will cross the bridge into North Little Rock for a brief ceremony in honor of donors. Back on the other side, fireworks will mark end end of Donate Life Month, along with food, live music, giveaways and on-site donor registration.
“The month of April is about celebrating life; those who became organ and tissue donors, and as well as those individuals who have received transplanted organs and tissue,” Director of Public Education Audrey Coleman said. “ARORA is excited to host this bridge party and fun walk and provide another opportunity for Arkansans to register as organ and tissue donors.”
The walk is completely free and open to the public, and guests are invited to wear blue and green, the colors representing organ, tissue and eye donation. Learn more on the ARORA website.
