As you may have gleaned from our “Women to Watch” features, we have a thing for girl power. That’s why we’re so excited about this news from NLR and our parent company Arkansas Business Publishing Group.
After almost a year in the works, the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with ABPG of Little Rock, launched the Arkansas Women’s Hall of Fame on Dec. 10, as reported by our sister publication, Arkansas Business.
The program’s goal is to honor the high-caliber work of Arkansas women in the realms of politics, business, philanthropy and more. Inducting new members every year, nominations will be welcome from and for groups and individuals, either contemporary or historical.
“I want it to be about the impact women — whether a mother, wife, sister, first lady or senator — made on the betterment of the state of Arkansas,” said president and CEO of the NLR Chamber Terry Hartwick.
The chamber will begin accepting nominations March 18, so keep an eye out for those. There are plenty of updates on the way and we can’t wait to see what comes of it.
