Arkansas Paranormal Expo Serves Up the Unexplained

UFOs, Bigfoot and psychics – oh my! If your favorite part of Halloween isn’t the frilly costumes, then you might want to listen up.

Embrace your love of all things spooky at the annual Arkansas Paranormal Expo on Oct. 8-9 at the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History. Yes, we’re talking a real-life paranormal expo with guest speakers on ghosts, cryptozoology, UFOs, the supernatural and more. You can also peruse the long list of vendors and learn a little about your future at psychic, tarot and astrology readings.

New to this year is the screening of paranormal short films in the MacArthur Museum “Haunted” Tower Theater courtesy of the Film Society of Little Rock and Fantastic Cinema. Raffle items such as Haunted Tours of Little Rock tickets, gift baskets, Razorback items and books will also be available. Plus, local favorite food trucks Loblolly Creamery, LePops and Hot Rod Wieners will be on site dealing up deliciousness.

The Arkansas Paranormal Expo benefits the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History and funds help preserve The Tower Building, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. The 2016 event will also be collecting donations for the Open Arms Shelter, an organization that provides temporary and long-term housing to children who are victims of abuse and neglect.

General admission is $10 for a weekend pass and children 12 and under get in free. Visit the Paranormal Expo website or Facebook page for more information.
