Arkansas Foodbank Raises Hunger Awareness at Empty Bowls

Preparations are officially in the final stages for Empty Bowls, the Arkansas Foodbank’s signature event. Now in its 15th year, the event is dedicated to raising awareness about hungry Arkansans and raising the funds to change it.

Slated for 7 p.m. on Friday, May 12, Empty Bowls will take place at the Statehouse Convention Center in downtown Little Rock. This year the event will continue a new tradition of “honoring a valued community partner and leader in hunger relief efforts” in Legacy Termite and Pest Control.

Throughout the night, guests will be treated to live entertainment from Tyler Kinchen and the Right Pieces and an auction featuring specialty bowls, as well as extensive offerings from some of our favorite local eateries. Here’s a look at who made the menu:

  • Samantha’s Tap Room & Wood Grill
  • Clinton Presidential Center
  • One Eleven at the Capital
  • Taziki’s Mediterranean Café
  • Trio’s Restaurant
  • Honey Pies
