Arkansas Arts Center to Host Summer Camps and Classes Virtually

Whether you’re looking for a way to nurture your budding artistic talents or you just need a healthy distraction among all the chaos, the Arkansas Arts Center has you covered (from a distance).

The AAC announced its popular summer art courses and camps will continue this year, only virtually, a technique the center has built through its recent AAC Amplified online initiative.

“At the Arkansas Arts Center, we are always looking for innovative ways to make space for art and creativity,” Executive Director Victoria Ramirez said. “Through online programming, we are keeping our staff and community safe while expanding the reach of our mission to a wider audience.”

For the grownups, the AAC Museum School takes place over three four-week sessions: June 1-26, July 6-31 and Aug. 3-28. You can take your pick of courses including printmaking, drawing, painting, art history and more.

For the kiddos, the center’s summer camps will also be held online, with the Junior Arts Academy running June 1-26 for ages 6-9, and the Playmaking @ Home series running July 6-31 for ages 10-18.
