Argenta Closes Main Street to Traffic for Outdoor Weekend Dining

Eat and drink to your heart’s content in downtown North Little Rock.

In the next phase of the new Argenta Outdoor Dining District, a portion of Main Street will close to traffic for weekend outdoor dining to expand onto the blacktop for weekends, lasting 6-10 p.m. Fridays and 3-10 p.m. Saturdays.

“The main purpose of closing the street is to give our downtown restaurants more space to socially distance customers,” said Chris Kent, Argenta Downtown Council executive director. “We are working hard to create safe spaces for people to gather and enjoy all that Argenta has to offer.”

Neighborhood restaurants will have tents and tables set up for customers to dine al fresco on the closed Main Street from Broadway to 4th Street, and 4th Street from Blake’s Furniture to the Argenta Drug Store.

Argenta Outdoor Dining District rules are clearly posted about mask requirements, social distancing guidelines and claiming a table. Extra tables will be available along Main Street and at Argenta Plaza.
