‘Annie’ Comes to Central Arkansas

No hard knocks here, just a stroll down Easy Street in this brand new incarnation of the Tony-winning musical “Annie.”

On Feb. 19-21, Celebrity Attractions is bringing broadway back to central Arkansas with a four-show run at the Maumelle Performing Arts Center. Martin Charnin, the original lyricist and director, is leading the way for the show’s 19th run, keeping close to the original with a book by Thomas Meehan and music by Charles Strouse.

The show will have audiences singing all their favorite “Annie” songs—“It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” “Tomorrow”—for days after the show. They’ll also get to enjoy a special performance by Annie’s best and furriest friend, Sandy.

Catch the U.S. National Tour of “Annie” the Maumelle Performing Arts Center located on the Maumelle High School campus. Performances are at 8 p.m. Feb. 19, 2 and 8 p.m. Feb. 20 and 2 p.m. Feb. 21. Call to reserve your tickets at (501) 244-8800, or get them online here.
