From his big dreamy eyes to the pep in his little paws to his impeccable locks worthy of any magazine spread, Henry was destined for greatness from his puppy days. That greatness was realized this summer when the regal hound conquered a panel of judges, two rounds of reader voting and some very adorable competition to take home the crown in the 12th annual Little Rock Soirée Cutest Dog Contest.
Now get to know the royal pooch who came out as top dog.
ALL ABOUT HENRY
Full name: Henry Louis Blakey
Breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Approximate age: 5
Owner: Harper Lee Blakey
Personality: “He is a loving, clever, fun-loving little gentleman who brings joy wherever his adventures take him.”
Harper’s favorite thing about Henry: “He’s always up for an adventure. Whether we’re taking a road trip, hopping on a plane or just heading to the office, he loves being by my side and has fun wherever we go. He has the sweetest, happiest personality and absolutely loves getting pets and attention from everyone he meets. He’s the best little travel buddy and always makes every adventure more fun.”
How Henry spends his days: “Henry spends most of his days as the unofficial mascot of the Law Offices of Katherine Blackmon. Every morning, he happily hops in the car, ready for another day at the office. Once we get there, he greets clients and makes the rounds to visit my coworkers, who all look forward to seeing him each day. They spoil him with treats, endless pets and lots of attention before he finds the perfect spot for one of his many naps. After work, if the weather is nice, there’s nothing he loves more than a long walk. And if he spots the perfect patch of grass, you can count on an occasional roll in it.”
How Henry came home: “He was the last dog on the last page of Petfinder. Several families had met him with the intent of taking him home, but he was a little too strange for most. After I met him at Marley’s World rescue, I knew he was it for me!”
