With his shiny coat, pristine paws and the kind of puppy dog eyes you just can’t ignore, Bucky Brown, the three-legged wonder, cleared a panel of judges, two rounds of reader voting and some very adorable competition to take home the crown in the 11th annual Little Rock Soirée Cutest Dog Contest.
Now get to know the happy pup who came out as top dog.
All About Bucky
Full name: Bucky Brown
Breed: Border Collie/Aussie mix
Approximate age: 9
Owner: Chandler McGuire
Personality: “Bucky is a sensitive homebody, but also an adventurous companion.”
Chandler’s favorite thing about Bucky: “He is so observant. He’s content with people and animal watching from the window. Not only is he a good listener, but he really can read a room just by observing.”
How Bucky spends his days: “Bucky likes a routine. His favorite time of day is breakfast and supper, so he probably forgets anything else. He spends his days watching Laugh TV, passing pedestrians and scurrying wildlife from the comfort of the air conditioned home.”
How Bucky came home: “He was the last dog on the last page of Petfinder. Several families had met him with the intent of taking him home, but he was a little too strange for most. After I met him at Marley’s World rescue, I knew he was it for me!”
