Fashion on the Farm
“While working to solidify our vision for this month’s fall fashion feature, we knew we wanted to adopt a cinematic eye almost reminiscent of vintage Ralph Lauren, and to create a world with depth and visual richness,” says art director Emma Devine. “On set, it really did feel like we were filming scenes for a movie! Getting to see our team at work showing amazing clothes in a beautiful setting was such a wonderful experience.”
“When we started discussing the concept, Pinnacle Valley Farm was the first place our minds went to,” stylist Josie Burnett says. “We’ve photographed there many times, but we knew this would be different. Plus, we got to shoot with Cheeky the horse! Cheeky is shown competitively and handled by the wonderful Stella Youngbauer. Stella helped Cheeky stay on set, get ready for the next look and gave him lots of grass and scratches to keep him happy. He was gentle and sweet and made our model feel comfortable.
“We knew going into the shoot that comfortability was key, not just with Cheeky, but with a fall wardrobe in July temperatures as well. We began early at 5 a.m., which allowed us to beat the heat and get some dreamy sunrise shots. Despite the busy schedule, it was still a relaxing day on the farm, and we all wanted to stay long after wrapping.”

Blooms & Bags
Another favorite on-set moment this month was creating these flower arrangements for our Power of the Purse photo shoot. Blooms from Tipton & Hurst and handbags from B.Barnett make quite the power couple.

Somehow the time (and fur) has flown, and this summer marked the 10th annual, fan-favorite Cutest Dog Contest. To celebrate, we dug through the archives to pay homage to all the canine cuties who have worn the crown so well.
