AAC to Host Adult Night of ‘Goosebumps the Musical’

“The Ghost Next Door,” “Welcome to Camp Nightmare,” “Night of the Living Dummy” — if any of those ring a nostalgic bell, you’re going to want to stop what you’re doing and save the date for this perfectly creepy trip down memory lane.

The Arkansas Arts Center’s Children’s Theatre is gearing up to go bump in the night, bringing an R. L. Stine favorite to life in its fall production of “Goosebumps the Musical: Phantom of the Auditorium.” Adapted from the “Goosebumps” series book of the same title, the play follows the “weird and wacky” tale of the Woods Mill Middle School drama department as things get creepy on their way to opening night.

But it gets better.

Because no one knows “Goosebumps” better than ’90s kids, on Thursday, Nov. 2, the AAC is hosting a grownups-only performance, which will include themed drinks to pair with ’90s snacks, candy and a few more tricks up their sleeves.

The eats begin at 6 p.m. with showtime at 7 p.m. Tickets won’t go on sale for the adult night until August, but you can purchase tickets to any of the regular family-friendly performances of “Goosebumps the Musical” by clicking here. The show runs Oct. 27 – Nov. 12 at the AAC.
