A Night of Architecture at Arkansas Arts Center

Steve Wiesenthal, senior associate vice president for facilities and university architect at the University of Chicago, is speaking Tuesday (April 29) at the Arkansas Arts Center.

The University of Chicago has undergone a transformation since 2000. The university is rooted in the tradition of grey stone Collegiate Gothic. 

Wiesenthal has been at the university since 2008. Before that, he was an architect with Venturi Scott Brown and Associates, and oversaw the development of the University of California San Francisco’s Mission Bay research and academic campus. Wiesenthal has undergraduate degrees in architecture and urban studies from the University of Maryland, and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania. 

The lecture is set to begin at 6 p.m. with a reception at 5:30 p.m. The event is free. For more information, email ardennetwork@icloud.com.
