A Guide to New Year’s Eve in Little Rock

Little Rock may not have a Times Square to drop the ball on New Year’s Eve, but we’re pretty sure these parties are almost as good. Probably better, actually. Who wants to stand out in the freezing cold packed between thousands of people for hours? No thanks, we’ll take a classy, warm, indoor party with champagne any day of the week. Here are your options.

 

Noon Year’s Eve at the Museum of Discovery, 500 President Clinton Ave., Ste 150. If you’re a parent of small children, staying up late to ring in the New Year can be just plain unfeasible. The Museum of Discovery is here to make your countdown dreams come true by ringing in the “Noon Year” on Monday, Dec. 31. The museum will have kid-friendly activities from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and, of course, a big countdown to the noon hour. Museum admission is $10 for adults, $8 for children and free for museum members. New Year’s Eve Celebration at Cache Restaurant, 425 President Clinton Ave. Cache is back with its annual New Year’s Eve Celebration full of delicious food and a one-of-a-kind dance party. New Year’s Eve at South on Main, 1304 Main St. Velvet Kente and Jordan Cox & DJ Girlfriend will ring in the new year with live performances all evening at South on Main. Mixed media artist Milkdadd will be creating a live painting and Craig Wynn will be on-site with his photo booth. Tickets to the show are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. New Year’s Eve with Boom Kinetic at the Rev Room300 President Clinton Ave. Fayetteville-based Boom Kinetic will return to the Rev Room stage for yet another rocking New Year’s show. The band will churn out a mix of hits from decades past that showgoers are sure to love. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the show begins at 10. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the show. Pawhibition: A Roaring 20’s New Year’s Eve!, 201 E. Broadway St. Join Arkansans Assisting Homeless Animals for the party of the (end of the) year! Dress in your best Gatsby-inspired attire and join the speakeasy to eat, drink and dance your way into 2020 — all while raising money and awareness for 4-legged neighbors who are waiting for their furever homes! New Year’s Eve Party, 424 W. Markham St. Grab your friends and ring in 2020 with Poolboy and Moose from Alice 107.7 and The Get Down – Party Band from Tulsa at the DoubleTree Little Rock. Guests can expect food, drinks, music, entertainment and giveaway prizes all night long. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., but VIP package holders will get early access at 7. New Year’s Eve at Next Level Events, 1400 W. Markham St. Ste. 104. Kick off the next era of the Roaring ’20s with a New Year’s Eve Party at Next Level Events. Festive attire is encouraged as guests dance the night away to music by Swing Band Reunion. The fun starts at 9 p.m. and goes until 1 a.m. Tickets are $65 and drinks aren’t included. New Year’s Eve Party at Petit & Keet, 1620 Market St. It’s time to get dolled up and dapper! Ring in 2020 with a roaring party that even Gatsby himself would be jealous of at Petit & Keet. The fun starts at 10 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Tickets include two complimentary drink tickets upon arrival, a champagne toast at midnight and complimentary late-night hors d’oeuvres. Petit & Keet is taking the theme seriously with ’20s-themed signature cocktails, a selfie station with themed props and an unlimited supply of bubbly. Lost Forty’s New Years Day Brunch, 501 Byrd St. If you’re not feeling fresh as a daisy come New Year’s Day, we know just the thing that’ll make you feel better — a little hair of the dog and plenty of bacon at Lost Forty’s New Year’s Day Brunch. L40 will kick off 2019 with classic brunch and breakfast dishes featuring smoked pork, bacon and sausage, in addition to a few specials for good measure.
