Christmas tales and festive performances are some of the best parts of the holiday season, and the Argenta Contemporary Theatre is gearing up for its upcoming performances of “A Christmas Story: The Musical.”
The beloved tale is based on the movie classic that takes over TVs every holiday season, which was based largely on the 1966 book “In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash” by Jean Shepherd. Set in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana, in the 1940s, the musical follows a young Ralphie Parker and his pursuit, schemes and desperation to acquire the ultimate Christmas gift: an official Red Ryder air rifle.
Filled with charm, imagination and plenty of wholesome moments, “A Christmas Story: The Musical” is the perfect way to make the holidays a little more special for all ages.
Opening night is Wednesday, Dec. 4, and the show runs through Dec. 22, offering plenty of opportunities to catch the joyful musical with family and friends. Just try not to get your tongue stuck to a flagpole before watching this iconic rendition loved by Broadway fans and Christmas enthusiasts.
