I started in sales at Apptegy in 2017 when it was a small, ambitious tech startup. I left to attend law school and returned to find it had grown into a thriving company helping schools and municipalities tell their stories with clarity and confidence. Returning as in-house counsel to support strategic decision-making, compliance and scalable growth has been a full-circle moment.

PRESSING QUESTIONS
How I knew this way my passion
I’m not passionate about tech itself, but I’m deeply passionate about solving complex problems with sharp, motivated people. At Apptegy, I get to do that every day in ways that matter.
Best career moment so far
Helping negotiate and close the largest client contract in Apptegy’s history — and doing it in record time — was a high-stakes, high-reward moment that reminded me why I love this work.
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
I’ve learned not to linger in “stuckness.” A quick breath, a step back and a chat with my team is usually all it takes to shift my momentum.
Biggest challenges in my career
Supporting rapid growth without becoming “that person from legal.” It’s a constant balance: protecting the company while finding smart, practical ways to say “yes” and keep things moving.
