At the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, I serve as director of the Windgate Art School, leading art education programs that foster creativity and growth for all ages and skill levels. My journey began as an artist and educator, with roles at Washington University and Craft Alliance. At AMFA, I focus on inclusive, accessible arts education that builds creative community.

How I knew this was my passion
I have always been drawn to art, the tactile challenges and community it fosters. My passion is in creating, facilitating and teaching, continually inspired by helping others unlock their creativity.
Biggest challenge in my career
One ever-rewarding challenge is making art accessible to all. Creating welcoming spaces, empowering everyone to create and meeting a wide range of needs requires ongoing balance, empathy, adaptability and growth.
Best advice I ever received
“Grit.” This simple word has been a force in my career and life. It represents perseverance, resilience and the ability to push through challenges, knowing growth and knowledge lie ahead.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
Art education is more than teaching technique, it’s about building confidence, fostering critical thinking and encouraging self-expression. The creative process nurtures curiosity and skills that extend well beyond the studio.
