I started with Delta Dental in 2011 because I wanted to work for a company I could grow within. Over the course of my tenure, I have held multiple roles. Currently, I build and maintain relationships with dental providers and their staff. I have become their go-to person for support, education and connection between the provider community and our organization.

A skill I never expected to need in this field
Conflict resolution. I knew communication would be important, but I never knew how often I’d navigate conversations. Being able to listen, empathize and find common ground is a game changer.

Adapting to change. This has pushed me to stay flexible, keep learning and become more solution- focused.

Don’t be afraid to speak up. Your voice brings value. This advice gave me the confidence to share my thoughts and ideas in any meeting I attend.
The one thing I wish people knew about my field
How much heart goes into it. It’s not just about managing provider networks, it’s about showing up for people and building relationships, problem solving and being a trusted resource internally and externally.
