The hills are alive, y’all.
Wrapping up Celebrity Attractions’ 2018-2019 season of Broadway shows is the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic “The Sound of Music,” and tickets officially go on sale Friday, March 29 at 10 a.m.
The iconic show will take to the Robinson Center stage for a limited four-performance run May 24-26 as part of its North American tour. Guests will see the story of Maria and the von Trapp family play out in Tony-, Grammy- and Oscar-winning fashion, complete with the music of “My Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss,” “Sixteen Going On Seventeen” and more.

“I waited for a moment when we could rediscover ‘The Sound of Music’ as it was originally created,” Rodgers and Hammerstein president Ted Chapin says. “Because of the enormous success of the film, few were aware that it started life as a hit Broadway show — and a very big hit at that!
“The artists behind this production embraced what the authors wrote, looked at it all through modern eyes and, in so doing, found depth and resonance that has been recognized by critics and audiences across the country. It’s like visiting an old friend but finding yourself surprised as well. It’s also a reminder of why this show is such an evergreen.”
