As the chief data officer, I lead our data strategy to foster value creation from the organizations’ data while facilitating trust. As a champion of data for good, I also serve as a fellow in the Deloitte AI Institute for Government where I provide strategic advice to government organizations in the areas of data management, strategy, advanced analytics and AI.

Being the only woman in the room so often in tech meetings was a frequent challenge.

Women in Data. The organization's mission is to increase diversity in data careers. I'm also honored to be the inaugural chapter lead for the Federal Government chapter.
Best career moment so far
Being honored as Data Leader of the Year 2022 by Women Leaders in Data and AI. I was so proud to represent Deloitte and my team for their diligence and commitment.
A skill I never expected to need in this field
The skill of acknowledging and embracing our unique accomplishments. Especially for women, this is needed to break the cycles of imposter syndrome for career success.
Best advice I ever received
Be prepared, do your homework, be visible and not afraid to voice your opinions. Speak up - you are in the room for a reason.
The first thing I do to course-correct when I hit a wall
Our field can be pessimistic, and I am not a pessimistic person. Stay optimistic, but approach decisions realistically to find ways to break through the walls you hit!
What keeps me coming back to my job every day
Knowing that we are dedicated to improving the use of data for public good, having an impact on mission problems, solving citizen related issues and enhancing citizen experiences.
