Account Executive
Delta Dental of Arkansas

I’m an account executive with Delta Dental and handle new group sales for companies with two to 150 employees across Arkansas. Delta Dental’s mission is to improve the health of the people we serve and to be the leading force in the delivery of quality dental benefit services. In my role, I’m charged with spreading that mission and strengthening the relationships with our clients and partners. I also serve on the Baptist Health Foundation Associate Board and will serve on the board of the Junior League of Little Rock as membership vice president beginning in June.

PRESSING QUESTIONS

Best career moment so far:

I had the privilege of working alongside my dad in our family business. The lessons learned and the knowledge gained during that time are immeasurable. I had full exposure to how a business operates, all while being trusted to help him lead. Best experience ever!

Biggest challenges in my career:

When I first started in sales, I had no experience and it was tough. Over time I learned to not take rejection personally, that every “no” is just one step closer to a “yes” (thanks, Dad) and that persistence is key.

My role model:

My mother. She is the most selfless person I know and has the biggest heart. She is strong in her faith, everyday life is her mission field and she lives to lift those up around her and help others succeed.

Advice for my 18-year-old self:

Worry less, pray more and trust that God has a plan.

Favorite part of living in Little Rock:

I’m genuinely convinced that this is the greatest city! We have an excellent local food scene, numerous outdoor activities, great performing arts and the best people. I cherish my family, friends and church family and couldn’t see myself anywhere else.

How I knew this was my passion:

I’ve always been a people person who thrives on human interaction. Sales gives me the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, be involved in the community and always has a new challenge to keep me on my toes.

Best advice I ever received:

It’s simple, but so valuable. My dad always taught me to make the best of it. There are many circumstances that will not go our way and are beyond our control, but how we respond makes all the difference.

How I define success:

The feeling of contentment as well as confidence in who you are as a person. There is a balance in being driven to be successful and coming home at the end of the day feeling enough.
