If you’ve ever wanted to see the best works of William Shakespeare with a heavy dose of satire, you might want to make your way to The Rep some time this month.
“The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged)” will be playing at the Main Street theatre throughout the month. The play prides itself on bringing Shakespeare’s most-recognizable works to the stage in a “shortened and sidesplitting form.” Included is a 43-second version of Hamlet.
The play is directed by Resident Director Nicole Capri.
Opening night is tonight (Friday), and the show starts at 8 p.m. Other show times this weekend include 8 p.m. Saturday, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday.
