“Night of the Proms,” the hottest ticket in Europe for three decades, brought its one-of-a-kind pop-meets-classical concert tour to America– and North Little Rock– for the first time Friday (June 20) and guess what? Our photographer Jim Simpson caught some of the fabulous music and fun of the evening!
This show’s featured artists were Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, The Pointer Sisters and Nile Rodgers & Chic, who all performed their No. 1 hits on one stage backed by IL Novecento, Belgium’s world renowned classical orchestra; Fine Fleur, a 24 voice choir; and a 8-piece electric band headed by British pop star John “Music” Miles. Comedic opera diva Natalie Choquette added her genius to complete an incomparable line-up.
