The Tour de France is a multiple-stage bicycle race through France that takes place over a 23-day period and covers about 2,200 miles each summer. With each stage, the race passes through areas of rich history when it comes to wine and beer.
If you’ve ever wanted to sample a few of those drinks, then you’re in luck. Colonial Wine & Spirits is giving you the chance to taste various wines and beer from the areas on the days the riders pass through on the race.
This week, tasters have been able to sample drinks like Vielle Provision Saison Dupont and a Godiva Cream Cocktail. Today (Friday), as the race enters Epernay, tasters will get the chance to sample Jacques Copinet Brut Champagne and Rosé, and Perrier Jouet Grand Brut Champagne.
The race is only entering its seventh stage of 21 on Friday, so you’ve got plenty of time left to enjoy a variety of drinks! For a list of some of the drinks to come, click here.
Colonial Wine & Spirits is located at 11200 W. Markham St. in Little Rock.
