Haunted Arkansas Tours Dig Up Local Lore in Argenta

Let the spookiness begin.

The weather has finally started to turn, and we’re ready to fully embrace everything autumn has to offer, including the things that go bump in the night.

Haunted Arkansas Ghost Tours have taken to the North Little Rock streets for years, diving deep into the history and legends of the Argenta neighborhood. Led by local historian Amy Jones, the walking tours cover everything from the tale of the Argenta Devil to the historical buildings’ inhabitants who never left.

Customarily, the season’s lineup also includes the popular Boos and Brews tour led by Paul Prater for the 21-plus crowd. On these select nights, guests do the original walking tour, but extend it with a focus on Argenta’s more mischievous past. Attendees then spend time inside some haunted locations, enjoy a few drinks, hear stories like the history of “the most evil bar in Argenta” and even sit in on a seance. Dates have yet to be announced for this year’s poltergeist pub tour.

Traditional tours are now in session — yes, your little monsters are welcome — and run through the first week of November, each lasting approximately an hour and a half.
