Men on a Mission 2026: Dr. Aaron Duvall

Dr. Aaron Duvall
Executive Director of Workforce Development, UA Little Rock

HOW I KNEW THIS WAS MY PASSION
Working in high schools and seeing the number of students disengaged with traditional education made me rethink schooling. Education should lead students to meaningful careers that students are passionate about. This realization led me to CTE and workforce development.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED
From my wife Kim: Always say “yes” and then figure out how to do it.

MY FIRST JOB AND WHAT IT TAUGHT ME
Working in my grandfather’s plumbing business. The short version is I learned how to find something that needs to be done and proactively do it. He instilled in me a work ethic.

NONPROFIT I WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT
Either Junior Achievement of Arkansas for their work in career readiness and financial literacy or City of Hope Outreach. They are doing amazing work with and for the homeless population in Conway.

ONE THING I WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT MY COMPANY
How beautiful the campus at UA Little Rock is. It’s a peaceful, green space in the middle of the city with Coleman Creek flowing through it. I think it surprises people if they haven’t been on campus in a while.
