Giving Guide: American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Arkansas Chapter

MISSION:

Across Arkansas, AFSP brings people together to build a community of support, increase mental health awareness, and provide education and training that empowers everyone to recognize warning signs and respond with compassion.

We partner with 988 and mental health professionals, advocate with lawmakers for meaningful change and connect survivors of suicide loss with a caring community.

Through our annual Out of the Darkness Walks, we honor lives lost, support those impacted by suicide and remind Arkansans that help, hope and connection are always possible.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Monetary gifts of any size to support AFSP’s program implementation across Arkansas.
  • Volunteers willing to receive training and take what they learn back to their communities.
  • Individuals willing to be volunteer leaders for the 2027 Out of the Darkness walks.
