After the Arkansas Repertory Theatre wrapped its big anniversary season with the world premiere of “Windfall,” we admit to feeling a small sadness without a new mainstage show coming down the pike.
But right on cue as always, The Rep is teasing us mercilessly ahead of its 41st season to launch in August. The team has been gradually releasing bits of each show’s promotional poster, and on Monday night, they finally unveiled them all.
This is doing nothing for our impatience. The 2016-17 season includes hilarity and drama, beloved classics and new favorites and some bunny pajamas for good measure.
“In keeping with our tradition of producing a diverse range of plays and musicals, we’ve selected a new season that celebrates theatrical storytelling,” said former Producing Artistic Director Bob Hupp before his departure this summer. “Each production in our 41st season is bound together and brought to life by the imaginative talent of our country’s finest actors, directors and designers.”
